Taylor Kachelski received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan-Flint. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social Work at Spring Arbor University and is eager to continue developing her knowledge and skills within the mental health field. She has experience in case management, where she gained knowledge of local community resources and connected clients with services based on their individual needs. Through this experience, she also developed an understanding of care coordination and the importance of collaborating with clients and their other providers to promote continuity of care.
Taylor’s primary areas of interest include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, Domestic Violence, and Childhood Trauma. She is particularly interested in understanding how life experiences, relationships, and individual circumstances can influence mental health and overall wellbeing. She has an interest in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches with her clients. She hopes to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working toward their individual goals.
Through her internship, Taylor looks forward to gaining clinical experience, strengthening her therapeutic skills, and learning more about working with individuals and families. She is passionate about building meaningful connections with clients and helping them feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their mental health journey.
